After School Program    Teacher Lindy

Children in our “After School” program, enjoy a variety of activities. Learning centers, music & movement, arts & crafts, computer time, free-time in our Big Room and outdoor play yard.

Lindy Halvorsen is our “After School” Teacher.  Teacher Lindy came to the Learning Center with a wealth of knowledge and experience working with children of all ages.  She takes great pride in her work and has a genuine love for learning and teaching.

Teacher Lindy works with students encouraging their personal creativity and the development and reinforcement of their educational abilities.

Teacher Lindy also works in the classroom as a Substitute Teacher when called upon to do so. 

As a Team Member, Teacher Lindy believes in helping the students become individuals that have a strong sense of purpose and know who they are.  In the “After School “program the students are encouraged to use their imaginations, to explore all possibilities, and to believe in themselves.

Teacher Lindy has over 16 yrs. experience working in education.  She believes that children are the key to our future and they need to be encouraged to become strong individuals.  Teacher Lindy believes education is a life long endeavor and each child should be encouraged to develop a strong sense of who they are and know they can do and become anything they put their minds to.  Teacher Lindy says, “life is full of wonderful opportunities and we as Teachers need to instill, encourage, and foster that seed of becoming in each child.”

Prior to joining the Learning Center, Teacher Lindy worked for the Napavine School District and the Rainier School District in Washington State teaching Reading, English, Writing and Basic Math skills in their

Special Education Departments. 

Parent Workshops

"Parenting with Love & Logic" workshops are held in the Fall & Spring, as well as, other workshops based on family needs and interests.
