Combo Class     Teacher Jon
Our Combo Class is individual based, utilizing a Saxon Language Art & Math curriculum, as well as, meeting the Idaho State Achievement Standards in each grade and beyond.

Jon Wardall is our “Combo Class” Teacher.  He is Curriculum Director and co-owner of the Learning Center with his wife, Deb, who is our Kindergarten Teacher.

As the Combo Class Teacher, Jon has created a nurturing environment that encourages independence and personal responsibility.  The students go about their daily lessons at their own pace, consistently learning to collaborate as they interact with one another within the different age groups.  Returning students begin the school year with confidence because they already know their Teacher, their classroom expectations and feel comfortable with their peers.  The older students develop leadership skills as they work with and help the younger students.  Younger students quickly learn class routines and appropriate behaviors as they see the older students’ model those particular behaviors.

Teacher Jon has over 10 yrs. experience working in education.  His goal is to aid children to be confident, motivated, responsible and productive.  His mission is to stamp out learned helplessness and build self-esteem in children.  Beyond teaching, Jon works as a sports official for high school, middle and elementary school student athletes.  He officiates football and girls fast pitch softball.  The high school sports are under the Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA.org).  The middle and elementary sports is with the Coeur d’Alene Junior Tackle (cdajrtackle.com) and Kootenai Girls Softball Association (kgsa.org).

Prior to the creation of the Learning Center, Teacher Jon worked as a multi-level Head Teacher with his wife in a remote village called Akhiok on Kodiak Island in Alaska.
